COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE

In addition to private acupuncture appointments, as described under Acupuncture Spa, our clinic now offers "community-style" acupuncture to further serve our clientele.

Community-style acupuncture is different from what we are used to in the West. Instead of individual appointments, patients are treated in a group setting. This method, besides keeping the cost of treatment down, offers the possibility of being treated alongside family members or friends, and creates a group healing energy.

Patients remain clothed and are seated in lounge chairs with pillows and blankets optional. Acupuncture is performed using arm, hand, leg, foot and head points. Confidentiality is respected by speaking in low voices with music or fountains nearby.

Sliding scale fees are based on recommendations established for low-fee clinics. No proof of income is required and patients pay according to their ability. Lower fees mean patients may access their practitioners frequently and consistently enough to assure a better outcome.

In addition to acupuncture and herbal medicine, our community clinic offers low-cost chiropractic, massage and health education classes.

NOTE: If you have been served by Sebastopol Community Acupuncture, please continue your treatments there as we will not treat their patients.
